I have forgotten my main account password. What do I do?

If you have forgotten your password and are unable to login to your account, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Log In link in the global nav bar at the top right corner of your screen (or just go to https://penzu.com/account/login):

2. Click the “Forgot?” link in the Log In menu.

3. Enter your email in the pop-up, click “Reset” and a link will be sent to you via email.

4. Once the email arrives, click the link and you will be taken to a page where you can enter a new password for your account. If you don’t receive an email, be sure to wait at least 5 minutes for it to arrive. Otherwise please check your spam folder. If it isn’t in your spam folder, you can email us for assistance.

    Seems like reset password form is broken
    when I open link in email
    enter new password and email
    click save (or submit) – says that reset code is not found, although I can see it in url (before cicking submit first time)

    Tested on Firefox 11.0 (Ubuntu 11.10)

  2. Hi Roman – this might be because you’ve requested a new password in the time it took for the email to arrive. Please try again from scratch and let us know.

  3. Having the same problem.
    Requested password reset, launched the URL sent to my email to reset (clicked it, did not copy/paste), entered a new password and received the following message:
    “Reset code was not found”
    A few minutes later I tried again as suggested above with the same result.

  16. I have penzu pro and signed up for another year and paid but now cannot login to my 2 penzu diaries. I have tried to reset my password but this does not work. I think I need to cancel penzu pro asap.

  21. I asked for a password and got the email. I clicked on the link and put in my new password. The form won’t go anywhere because there’s a banner that says “You are not a Penzu Pro user”. Are only Pro users allowed to change passwords??

  22. Shennen – Changing your password is not restricted to Pro users. It sounds like maybe you are trying to access the form from a mobile device. Mobile access is a Pro only feature. If you follow the link from your desktop computer or laptop you should be able to change your password without issue.

  24. I had to close the email account that I used to set up my Penzu account due to it being hacked. Now, I can not access my Penzu account. Is there anyway to regain access to my Penzu account even though I do not have access to my old email?

I have clicked the forgot button, got the email clicked the link and entered my username or email address and typed retyped my password but my problem now is it is prompting me that it is an invalid URL and is asking me to press the reset again. I did it like several times already over and over again but still I can’t log-in. Please help.

  31. I have clicked on the forgot password link and was prompted to enter the email address in which the account was created under. I’ve tried for the past 2 days to send myself a password reset link but it hasn’t arrived, even checking my spam/junk mail folders. I only have the one email address I would have used for it and I don’t believe I typoed my own email address. What’s next?

  50. Georgia – This message about an invalid URL is generally seen when you are either entering an incorrect email address, or using an outdated reset link. If you have requested a reset code multiple times, please make sure that you are using the most recent email, as only the link in that email will be active. Previous codes become inactive when requesting a new one. Also ensure that you are entering the email address associated with your Penzu account exactly.
