How do I permanently delete my account?

To permanently remove your Penzu account from our system, please follow these steps:

1. You must first deactivate your account. To deactivate your account, visit your Account page:


2. Scroll down the page to the bottom and click on the “Deactivate” button:

3. Once deactivated you will receive an email confirmation. Then, you are required to make a request in writing via email to to permanently delete your account. We will manually remove your account and all of your entries within 48 hours.


  1. I’m trying to log to deactivate my account permanently however, whenever i attempt to log in, i’m being redirected to penzu pro which i do not have an account. I have the free penzu and i have no plans of purchasing the pro either.

    Pls tell me how i should deactivate thenfrom here.

  2. It sounds like you might be trying to access Penzu from a mobile device. Mobile access is a Pro feature, and we automatically redirect to the mobile version of our site for mobile devices. Logging in from a PC should solve your issue.

  5. I used the google chrome app and can’t delete my account or even stop mail! It just comes up with my one locked journal I forgot the password to and don’t intend to read. I’m on a pc too. Can’t you just delete my account :(
