How does tagging work for Penzu Post?
To add a new or existing tag to an entry sent via Penzu Post, simply add your tags in the subject line of the email and surround them with square brackets. Tags are not case sensitive and you can add as many as you like to an entry.
For example, the if the subject of an email to Penzu Post looked like this: My First Day At Work [work] [first experiences]
The entry would have the title “My First Day At Work” and be tagged with “work” and “first experiences” whether they are new or existing tags.
Can multiple people journal with Penzu Post?
If you are a Pro user and have a Penzu Post unique email address, you may share that address with select individuals so that they can contribute to your journal. If this email gets in the wrong hands, however, trouble may ensue. Your journal may get bombarded with unwanted emails or we may have to disable your address to stop spam (should spammers pick up on it). So if you do decide you want to have others write in your journal via Penzu Post, please be sure to share your unique address carefully and not to send it out to too many people (IE. on Twitter or Facebook).
Should you have any trouble at all, please email support@penzu.com.
Is submitting entries via email with Penzu Post secure?
Writing entries via email with Penzu Post is as secure as email gets—which isn’t exactly much. Email has to pass through many different servers and relays before it gets to its intended destination leaving it vulnerable and potentially not secure. We don’t recommend sending anything that you want to keep private via email, although many of us do anyway with Gmail or Yahoo Mail on a daily basis.
If you want to maintain ultimate privacy and security, we suggest writing in our web or mobile app instead. Penzu Post is meant as a convenience feature not as a replacement.
After emailing my entries in, I can’t find them in my Penzu account! (Pro)
If you have been using Penzu Post but no emails are showing up in your account or have stopped showing up in your account, the problem could be:
1) Your email address might be blacklisted and incorrectly flagged as spam. To confirm this, try sending a message to your unique Penzu Post email address from a different email account to see if the entries come through properly.
2) You could have the wrong Penzu Post address saved in your contacts. To confirm your address email setup@post.penzu.com from the email account associated with your Penzu account.
3) You might not be a Penzu Pro member! In which case you must upgrade to a Pro account! You can do so here.
